Kaitlyn Gorman (she/her) is honored to be part of the inaugural production of A Short Leap! After earning her BFA in Acting from UConn (go Huskies), she lived and worked in New York City for many years before moving to Chicago! (When most Chicagoans hear this, they love to tell her that the streets of New York City are disgusting and Chicago is far superior due to its alley system. It’s hard to argue with this point but she feels that both cities have their pros and cons.) Some past roles she’s particularly proud of include “Clytemnestra” in Iphigenia and Other Daughters, “Perdita” in The Winter’s Tale, and playing one of the “Somebodies” in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Everybody. She particularly loves heightened, physical works and is so excited to bring that energy to Clearing, such a special, hilarious, dark, and thought-provoking piece!
